What Is Internet Marketing?

Basically internet marketing is about making money online, by promoting offers to people surfing the web. 

You can promote either your own or other people's offers, in other words you don't need to have a product of your own to sell.

And you don't need a web site either!  If you don't want to go to the time and expense of building your own sites, at least not to begin with, you can use other peoples sites to promote your offers ... for example ... have you heard of any of the following sites:

- YouTube.com

- Facebook.com

- MySpace.com

- Wordpress.com

- Blogger.com

- Squidoo.com

- HubPages.com

These are just some of the sites you can advertise your offers on, there are hundreds of others!

Getting started is easy ... really easy!

You simply need to find "affiliate" products to promote ... affiliate offers are other people's products and they pay you a commission for promoting / selling them on their behalf ... in some cases up to 80% of the sale!  Go take a look at a site called Clickbank.com and see all of the products being sold there ... you can promote any of the products on that site, all of them pay great commissions ... all you need to do is sign up and get a unique username to use to track the visitors you send there!

Once you've chosen the product you want to promote, you can add videos or articles to the list of sites above promoting the product ... in your promotion you include a link to the sales page for the product, (the link includes your clickbank username) ... when someone click on the link and buys the product, you get paid!
